Did I just get ripped off???

So I purchased a Delphi HTS101 CPS on amazon, it shows up to day and I am surprised to find what looks like a grey Ford CPS.

I was under the impression the Delphi would look like a black ford CPS.

What do you think? Am I being played?

You didn't think, just because it was Black, it would be anything like the Ford, Black, CPS?

I mean, it's just the color of the plastic they choose...

I think, with all the trouble people have had with aftermarket CPS's, I would stick with either Ford or IH. It's not like they're expensive anymore

No.

I have been through two CPS's Ford Grey (failing), BW (caused Horn/Wiper issue), and now trying a Delphi. All the stock photos online so the Delphi with the big/fat magnet end, black in color with the Gold mounting plate. I am awfully suspicious that it showed up with a skinny end, grey with a silver mounting plate - same as a Grey Ford CPS, which is not what I ordered.

The Grey ones "go-out" on you? How long do they last? That's pretty strange...

How about IH?

Here's all the numbers I have, maybe another one would work better but, I'm not sure why the Ford Greys won't

Recall Grey CPS
Ford: F7TZ-12K073-B
IH(equivlant): 1876735C91
97-03 original CPS (black): Ford Part # - F7TZ-12K073-A, corresponding IH Part # - 1825899C93
97-03 updated CPS (grey): Ford Part # - F7TZ-12K073-B, corresponding IH Part # - 1876735C91
IH DT466 original CPS (blue): IH Part # - 1807339C92
IH DT466 updated CPS (grey)*: IH Part # - 1885812C91

Your not the only one, I order the Delphi cps a couple months ago and when it arrived it is ford grey cps. I had the grey one in my truck and when I pulled it ever number and marking on it matched the Delphi. I don't know what the deal is.

because ford doesn't make most sensors and parts, there distributor might be delphi for the sensor

i know its BERU for the glow plugs

and bosch for the fuel injectors,(gas)

when it comes to sensor and certain things ford outsources, if you want i can look at my new ford gray i have in my glovebox and see what info is on the sensor itself.

delphi is grey and small but it is not the ford cps.

my truck runs way better than when i ran the ford recall cps.

ive tried two grey recall cps, a blue int'l cps, and the borg warner cps.

the borg warner cps ran great but i also had wiper issues, so i switched to the delphi and am really happy with it.

no more erratic idle the tuck runs great

Yes delphi makes alot of stuff for ford. My engine has at least four parts that are factory that say delphi on them. That I have found.
