Original Denso vs Copy

Im in the market for a new starter. I am debating on getting the original denso starter vs the knock off versions, that is cheaper. Has anyone dealt with the copy at all? If so, what are some of the cons? Is spending the extra money worth it?

I'm not sure what the deal is either...

You go to DB and get a $90 Chinese "Denso"
OR
You go to Amazon and get a $300 Nippondenso Denso

Are all those in-between, $179 starters just marked-up $90 starters?

I know you can get an Auto Parts Store, Chinese, cheap starter with a Lifetime replacement for less than the real thing BUT,,,, you get stuck in a Parking Lot, in the middle of the night during a rainstorm, and you're gonna feel PennyWise/PoundFoolish

I think I'd go for the real one...

The best way to be safe. Get a local rebuild er to rebuild your current starter. Then you know what parts are going in with no China crap.

Your original starter is probably a mitsubishi starter not the denso
