last ZF swap detail - 4LO

I've been driving my truck for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving the new gearbox. Trying to wrap up the last few details and searching hasn't been successful so far to figure out 4LO. I am using the manual harness, and currently have the gear selector from the auto still plugged in to the second connector.

My plan is to eliminate the second harness altogether and just jump the wires at the plug, but I want to get 4LO working before doing that.

Can someone that has figured this out help me. Everything else works, 4HI, Reverse lights etc, only 4LO.

Thanks,

David

Check your connections, it's just part of the manual harness. My 4lo works and I'm the same way right now

I will check it out. Also read the brake should be applied and I don't think it was.

Thanks for chiming in, you've helped me more than once in this project.

Brake should be applied for what? Or what... you mean no 4LO light? or it won't go into 4LO?

For me to go into 4Lo I have to be out of gear, not just clutch in... Brake doesn't matter though

No 4lo light. Haven't drove after switching to see if the gearing dropped.

Will do asap.

Front locking hubs are out now (MM hubs won't free up) and its on jackstands for new knuckle seals and axle dust seals this weekend so no driving tonight.

Knew all these things needed fixed when I bought it but man I'm ready to hit the road for some cruising.

Needing to bump this up. I have checked and no 4LO. I've tried any and all combinations of pedal presses, in gear out of gear, nothing is working.

It seems that most people just give up on the ESOF and put a manual in there, but at this point I have two ESOF transfer cases (one for the 4R100 and one for the ZF) and I'd like to figure it out.

Anyone have any luck, or know of anyone that has made this work?
