#8 cylinder contribution problem

Ran my AE tests and came up with this, buzz test sounded all the same... Is this 100% the injector or could other factors be causing it? Any way to further test to find exact problem? Truck has 250k so I'm not surprised if injector but if it's a different problem I don't have 1500 to throw at injectors and still have a problem

okay I had a long informative post written up on my phone.... but I lost it so here's the cliffnotes lol

Nothing is wrong
You probably have the Grey CPS.
Just means your injectors are not brand new anymore
New injectors would fix it, for a while

Go to the screen on your AE where you can read live sensor data, in the dropdown pull the Rotational velocity for all 8 cylinders, thats all the contribution test is reading.

For example, I'm lucky to have a black CPS, the original one. With it, I see about 2% out on my #8 and no code. With the grey one that is standard now, I see about 9% and I have a second grey one that goes as high as 12%, with these in on the test it comes up as #8 bad.

Again there is no problem, it's nature of the beast, you probably have a 99-00 with a grey CPS. Trucks with the AE long lead injector that was added in mid year 00 are less likely to show up with a #8 failure but it still happens
