How does the warranty work?
My Tn turbo has too much shaft play. I called the company today, they said i need the serial number, she gave me the return number. She said they will look and make sure i didn't mess with anything, and rebuild what they have to. I don't want them to rebuild mine, I don't want a new one. I just want my money back. How will i live with out my truck for up to 10 days? who on here has had to deal with the Tn warranty?

Well, you're not gonna get your money back. I don't think there are any new ones to be traded. From what I've read, its out of production, but they'll honor warranty repairs still. I've read of a few who had to go through the process, on another forum though. One guy said it took 5 weeks to get it back, another said 2....who knows.

Yeah that will get them on your side!!! Unless they offered a refundable warranty you are bound by them repairing the one you have. I would buy a stocker to have on the shelf when these times happen. What did you do with the stock turbo? Your best bet would be to purchase what you want, when you pull the TN off and put the new one on then send the TN back for a rebuild, this way no down time. When you get the TN back put it on Ebay you would be surprised how many folks have no idea there is a problem with them. Those on diesel forums that actually understand what a turbo is and does is probably less than 10% of diesel owners!! Good Luck NCH |

So if you buy a car with a warranty, drive it a few thousand miles, and the engine blows. The engine covered under warranty. They don't give you the purchase price amount back and they keep the car. They fix it, and if you want to trade it in, you're gonna take a hit. Even if they did give you any money back, it would be a depreciated amount (like 50% what you payed maybe) because it is not the same exact condition as when it left their premises..
