Maybe you want to check out this part #

The sensor plugs into the back of the air filter box! Yes just leave it tied up out of the way, or you can drill a hole and mount it in the new intake.

NCH
But it's not a TEMP sensor is it?

DUH!!! I forgot about it! In the diagram I just looked at, it plugs into the intake, under the AIH.
Excuse me for talking out of my arse, it's been awhile since I've worked on my truck

Would having them rebuilt make that much of a diff? I have 260K on mine.

miliage went from like 8-10 no matter what, to 14 city hammering on it, and 19 on the highway. Performance she is powerfull, and i havent dont anything with the fuel system yet, I still have alot more power to get out of them. It was like adding a chip all over again. but double lol

It all depends if you are having poor performance. If you are, yes it will make a HUGE difference, if things are still running good and milage is where it should be, leave it alone. I still would send it a anti freeze sample for analysis to see if the cups might be leaking slightly.
