yeah, i fill up the neck, i've never really been able to see the fuel though. but i always give it at least 4-5 more squeezes before i hang the pump back up. if anything it would change a few hundredths/a few tenths of a MPG

I usually fill mine up to the top of the neck each time. Takes a while, but I like to know exactly what she doing.

You know you can just fill it up to the neck, keep up with the miles and the gallons added and fill it up the neck anytime later...two tanks, three tanks, etc. and it is still accurate. I do this sometimes if I'm in a hurry.

Since you started this thread, I have been asking around and it is not unusual at all for these trucks to get 21 mpg right out of the dealer's lot. Wish mine did!

Before my lift and tires, my truck got 21.4 on the 75hp setting(hand calculated) on level ground doing about 67mph and a lil over 1800rpms. I would think this is completely possible with a 2wd that sits lowers and has less weight and rolling resistance. When I go home for xmas Im gonna gps my truck to see what shee really gets the way she is now.

I agree with Stump. You're much more intelligent than you look!

Don't know why some are contradicting his MPG claim. I can totally believe it with the 7.3. If all is top-shape on it, and you're running with correct psi in the tires (that can throw it off a lot it they're not right), I can see 20+...easy.

yep yep i keep up on my tires.. rides a little rougher, but hey, it's not a BMW!! and the ride actually is quite good. i used to deflate them a little on the ranch for traction but.. at correct PSI they still get plenty of it! and yeah. going 60 the whole way was tough but i did it. it sucked having big rigs and tour busses pass me though haha
