From my experience though, "orientals" are generally used to describe material things such as carpets or furniture, while "asian" is a more accepted term for describing a person.

No offense taken. I've been called other things that might offend me but this is no biggie.

All my asian and non asian friends make fun of me for loving american muscle and trucks. I make fun of them for driving rice rockets. I scare them when I tell them if they go any further Ill drive up on their cars with mine.
