Have you got voltage? Does the truck crank? (batteries may be down lights on whilst plumbing radio in!)
Start simple see where they have plumbed th amp/radio into. They may have hooked up to a wrong Live

Truck will start, double checked wires and then disconnected radio and system and it still does it.

Truck is a 2000

took front piece of dash off and looked at wires for 4x4 the look good all the way up into the harness, im so lost on this one.

Ok first off how did you install the radio, remote power to the amp. Did you use an install kit for this or did you hack up the wiring harness.

Did you hook the remote power wire to the radio or did you find a key hot wire under the dash and tap into that.

Power to the amp did you run a wire directly from the battery should be at least 10 gauge wire for this.

The RCA's is not the probelm.

Truck had a cd player in it with a wire kit, i used that, ran remote straight from radio, and used 0 guage wire straight from battery. all i can think is the touched wires together somewhere

Check your switch for the 4x4. Make sure it is in 2wd.

OK this might be kinda far out, but do you guys think its possible that somehow, someone switched the 4x4 switch to 4 low, then a fuse or rely or wire got messed up and its reading 4x4 because its the last the the computer saw?

Does your AC only blow out the defrost? You said the vacuum pump does shut off right? Turn the switch to 4x4, 4 low, and 4 high than turn it back to 2 wheel high does the light shut off? This is very strange, have you checked all fuses?
