Anyone make a single position chip?

I have a 2001 F550 work truck with an intake and exhaust. I'd like a little more power from it and was wondering if anyone makes a single position chip for it that I could get a work/tow tune on it? I know you can get the computer reflashed on one but prefer to have a plug in chip for it so I don't have to put the truck down for it. Also, had a friend who had his computer reflashed and the ford dealer removed it when he was having his truck worked on.

You can order any chip with just one tune on it, but I'm not sure if they still sell single position ones anymore.

Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

if csipsd is referring you there and going to run a few of his tunes, their is a good chance they are reputable.

We can get you setup with a single position chip. Our F5, F6, and F8 can all be programmed with only one tune. The most cost effective route would be the F5 or F8.

You would just select Single Position Chip in the Switch category, and only select a single tune for Position 1 while leaving the other positions blank.

so about $200 for a single tune chip or $300 for a 6 position. this seems like a no brainer to me

what if you're not happy with the single tune because the egt's are high or the transmission does funny things while towing?

i think you always need the option to switch the truck to stock mode at any given time.
