FYI
The 6.0 and 6.4 share the same block.

I'll say it again we have the cab off a 6.4 at least one a week cooked turbo, blown engine, bent rods, or some other failure they dont have them figured out yet. I'm waiting for the 6.7 but not until they have been out for at least 2 years. I'm not trying to pi$$ anybody off just trying to call it like I see it.

we have 7.3s apart every week, 6.0s, LLYs LBYs 12v 24v, so i am not sure what you mean by that. trucks have problems, most of them are the driver.

How many 6.4s have you worked on?

Federal offense eh?

6.0s blow up every other day, hahahaha wow
(I am a 7.3 guy, but I am so sick of hearing that the 6.0s are junk and blow up all the time, its not true, they have issues like many other engines, but are simply fixed.

EPA standards is why the re-vamped to the 6.0 I dont think they'd still be using the 7.3 today.
How many have you worked on? a friend of mine has three 6.4's. they have all three been to the dealership many times for bad computers one actually blew the turbo.

Ya removing the Cat of emmission control devices is a federal offense. research it.

that was called figurative speech. but they are for the most part go ask any diesel shop. or landscape company that owns 6.0's if they wish they still had there 7.3's.

emission controls are to abide by EPA standard.

How many has he worked on????

How many have you personally worked on??? sure sounds like zero.

Do you personal experience with any of that?

Sure doesn't sound like it.

A friend of a friend of a friend, la de dah de dah.

I know of PLENTY, PLENTY of guys who love there 6.0's and would not trade them for anything.

Every motor has had its problems, including 7.3's, they just have there own respective problems.

Different doesn't mean bad

As well, there are plenty of very very happy 6.4 owners

It all just comes down to person opinion, and likes and dislikes.

Okay, let me ask about 6.0s...

asking..

answer, 6.0s are great motors left stock. and if you are going to program them you need studs and an egr delete, other then that they are GREAT

We had put a programer on a 6.4, he never runs it on anything that the 250 hp and tows 25k, beats the piss out of it, guess what no problems.

Any vehicles have issues, you cant just single one out because you have one, or know someone, think about the trucks that people own that you dont know, dodge, chevy, they all have problems!

I have the 99 7.3 in my sig and my wife has a 04 6.0. Even with my tuner on 140 hers will walk off and leave me but in fairness she has an auto and I have 6 gears to run thru. But the 6.0's are quick to be sure. I've towed with both and think mine pulls better but I have my tuner on 80 tow. I get a little better economy city or highway but its not that big of a difference, somewhere between 1 and 2 mpg's. She complains that mine rides like a log wagon and the engine is too loud, the 6.0 is a quieter engine but I like the clatter of a diesel and rarely turn my radio on. If you ask me they are both good engines and it just comes down to a matter of personal choice. Her 6.0 is now blowing coolant out the overflow so I'm gonna hope for studs.

Here's my 2 pennies.

I LOVE my 7.3. BUT I get about 14mpg. I would love a 6.0 if it was a 6 spd. Heard tomany people splitting there torque shift cases. That is just what I have HEARD. Don't jump my nuts, not claiming fact or fiction.

6.4's I think they look awsome, I would just waite a year or 2 more to let them work out the bugs.
