Probably a stupid question but what battery do i use for an amp?

I dont know if it matters, but dont want to mess up my truck. I have a 2500w amp and im not sure which battery to hook it up to please help a newb out.

I believe both batteries are wired together anyhow...not sure if they're in series or parallel...I would think parallel.

thats what i figured but wasnt sure, i know in the manual it says to hook jumper wires to one side only so i thought id ask, cuz i want to hook it to pass side. Yall are great here 4 replies in 10min THANKS GUYS

well cant help ya there but i hooked mine up to the drivers side and drilled a hole for the power, put in a gromet, and sealed it up.

the 2 batteries are wired in parallel to provide twice the capacity but keep the volts at 12. if they were in serial, you would only get 1 bat worth of capacity and 24 volts.

wire into which ever bat makes it easier for you. I have things tied to both batteries. just make sure you put a fuse as close to the bat as you can! as in inches or less, NOT feet from the bat.
