Did mine just about a year ago when it failed on me, the truck would run fine until it reached operating temp. Then i would die leaving me an the truck stranded for about 20 to 40 mins. Then the truck would fire up an run fine for a bit (then repeat). I was able to figure it out thanks to the forum. Month later I got the recall notice in the mail, thanks to ford i got to freeze my *** off in northern alberta with a dead truck, in december. still rather push my ford then drive anything else.

As I said every PSD owner should have one in their glove box and the tools to change it, 10mm socket, 3" extension, ratchet and a flat blade screw driver. I have all this and a spare CPS in a zip lock bag. You can still find the old style CPS's on Ebay for around $50.

Yeah NCH you're right....where have I been???? Haa haa here in Australia that's where. Only got the truck last year, and the 1st thing we did was buy 2 CPS and put one in straight after we got the fault code that there was something wrong. Turns out it was not the problem but we left the new one in and there is a spare in the glove box. I think they must be from the "good batch" because we haven't had a problem with them.
Cheers Jan O
