Cold Start/Buzzing Clicking Sounds

Okay guys, I'm not sure how too really describe what I hear when I start my truck, that's why I'm not sure how too search the subject.

But here it goes, sometimes when stating my truck I don't hear anything from under the hood, but sometimes I hear like a buzzing or a fast clinking sound from under the hood, does that make any sense??

Is that the glow plug relay????

Or course I can't get it too happen when I get my wife too start the truck and I'm under the hood it's random at doing it.

On top of the pass side fenderwell (under the hood) is a black, round-ish Vacuum Pump. See if it's not just that

Because a diesel doesn't really produce good Vacuum (it would, but there's no throttle plate to "pull" against) most of them have some sort of pump. Vacuum is used to control Heat/AC doors and the Auto Hubs in our trucks so, we need a source. Small leaks often mean that, after sitting for a time, that pumps often runs when you first turn-on the Key...
