Help me add dpf and egr on my 7.3

So I'd like to help out the environment and install a dpf and egr system I bought from an 08 f250. I figured since they quit making the 7.3's due to emissions I could really help out the community by adding the emissions equipment to clean up the harmful exhaust these trucks spew out.

So far I have the egr coolers and dpf on a 6.4- boy these things are expensive, cost me $3k! So what else do I need to get these parts on and be a clean diesel driver??

you missed April Fools Day.

DPF is a joke. I think the emisions it creates on regen are worse then a little soot
EGR coolers killed the 6.0

Ummmmm. Is this a serious question? Because I see you aren't from California. I mean even GreenPeace has more diesel scows that puke more diesel smoke in a week than what our 7.3 trucks will make.

I just wanna contribute to driving a clean diesel and not spew these bad fumes around the town. Ya know? Help the world out a little bit and do my part, maybe if the egr won't work I can atleast run the dpf and swap filters every x amount of miles?

Personaly I think you sank 3k into something that isnt really worth it. But it nice to see a thread about making less smoke and emissions than a thread about how to make it poor out. So props there!!! Id also be interested in seeing how you would have to machine and run everything to make it work on a 7.3L. Id talk to some companies that build diesels for mining those engines produce less contamination than a human fart. See what they are doing to the engines for emissions.

Maybe a double dpf off a peter built big rig, bigger internals and it should flow better, with some kind if way to Inject the def in the exhaust like a Dmax

rather then use that refined DEF you should use it straight out of the mammal, more natural that way
