I am looking at purchasing a 2000 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4, 7.3 diesel that is completely loaded with 188,000 on it. The truck appears to be very clean and well maintained. I'm certain at this point I could buy it between $12,500-$13,000.00. Is this a good price for a vehicle with this many miles? Please tell me what you think, Thanks Fowler12 in Ohio.

The price sounds about right. I bought a 99 350 dually this summer and spent right a 14K. It had 145.000 on it when bought. If it is clean and you do your homework it should be a great ride. Try to find out all you can as far as service records and what it has been used for. Sometimes they get tied to a big anchor and makes for a hard life. I know mine didn't have a fifth wheel ball and that made me feel better. There will be things that will have to be repaired along the way. These trucks are made for a lot of miles and we can buy a lot of parts for the difference in the price of a new one HA!!! Hope this help and good luck.

Good deal, but have Marc (member on here) check records for you if possible, get him the vin #. Also don't rely on carfax for accurate info.....just trust me. PM if you need an explanation.

That sounds like a real good price there. If it's from a dealer I would almost be a little leery of a price like that, pretty low for Ohio (believe me I've looked). If you don't get it you should let me know and I might

The individual selling the truck is the third owner and has done absolutely no towing with it. From what he understands the second owner only towed a 16 or 18 ft. boat with it. No fifth wheel trailering or other heavy duty use. Everyone's response so far has been that this is a very good deal on the truck at $12,500.00. I have yet to personally inspect the vehicle but will be doing that soon, thanks again for everyone's help and keep responding to this thread. Thanks, fowler12

I will be sure to let everyone know how the truck checks out. I have spent a lot of time researching the truck (CARFAX, this forum, etc.). So far so good and I will purchase it unless their is some obviously glaring issues that I find. Thanks and keep letting me know what you think! Fowler12
