Napa has always been good to me on bearings, either USA, Japanese or German bearings. I'll get some.

So far as the pinion staying in place and not being shimmed, that's pretty much the case with all carrier R&R's? At least while using the old ring/pinion? I just don't want to get caught with my pants down if I don't order the shim kit, ya know?

CJFord hit all of the tools and I also would not use old bearings. We get a lot of bearings from Randys Ring and Pinion if you dont have yours yet. They are very reasonable and have fast shipping. I was thinking you were doing the pinion bearings also but if you arent then that is going to save you some of the PIA work and more tools.
