ABS light, speedometer problems

I took 2000 F250 7.3 in to replace broken brake line. Truck came back w/ ABS light on. Trucks runs/ stops fine. Sometimes the ABS light goes off. When it does, when i hit the brakes, the abs to work, like i'm sliding on ice. I don't know if its related, but my speedometer sometimes doesn't work either. And twice now the over drive light on the gear shift is wacky and doesn't light up properly. All these problems started after brakes went out due to brake line failure, and truck went to chevy dealer. Any help would be great. THANKS SO MUCH.

I know I had an ABS hard fault when the sensor in the hoghead went out. Braking was fine though. I drove through one hell of a storm on the interstate when the light faulted. Stayed that way for a couple weeks, then my hubs went out! Had the dealer fix it all at once. Freaking expensive, I know that much.

x2, sounds like that'll fix it. Its a $25 part, one screw and your done. Its on top of the rear diff.

DON'T START REPLACING PARTS!!! Do things right, scan your stored codes first and go from there. The speedo sounds like a SS problem, which sits on top of the rear diff and held in place with a 10 mm (IIRC) BOLT. Check the ABS cables where they plug into the back of the hub, Why would you take it to a Bowtie dealer?? I would usually say take it back to whoever worked on it but not in this case. That's like hiring a plumber to remove your appendix!! Just pick'in at ya.
Good Luck

Check behind the drivers side headlight, thats where the ABS modual is. I had an ABS light that would come and go....turns out it was a loose ground wire right behind the headlight! Something so simple took me a couple days to figure out!
