Newbie-crash Course In Psd Needed!

(Times of the essence - I have cross-posted fron Introductions. My window of opportunity to look this rig over may be short indeed!)

Hi gang - Looking at a sweet F350 4x4 long bed PSD locally, and need to know what to look for/what to ask beyond the following: Any aftermarket mods/Any engine work (injectors/pump/relays/turbo). Electrical/batteries (has XLT pkg so power everything). Tranny (maint. or repairs). Usual body/interior inspection. Am I missing anything except a good test drive? My diesel experience is 15 years ago with Nissan-powered IH Scouts, so I may be a bit rusty. TIA!!! Mike

Welcome Mike to Powerstroke.org!

Is this truck at a dealership or an individual?
How many miles? What year, What powerplant is in it? Whats the price? You need to run an OASIS report that will show any history of that truck being in the Ford shop for any repairs. Ask the dealer to show you an OASIS and if they won't do it, there are a few guys on here that you can ask to get it from.

Ask for an OASIS report...shows all dealer service history.

Clay must have beat me to that one.

Sounds like a decent price.
Carfax in my opinion is not accurate or complete. Oasis is.
Good luck.
