well I did it.... I won an auction from Seige... I got dual pumps (the red ones) and a 3 gal tank. I did not want to spend the extra cash on the 200 psi system (close to double what I paid!)

I ended up with the hammer 3 horns. now that I got air, I can change out the horns later if I want i guess...

Do you have a link to the store. I'd like to check out everything they have.

Everything brand new. I am setup to air up tires when needed as well.

here is a link to my same kit BuyItNow for $346.88 (except this only has a 1/2 gal tank, mine has a 5 gal)

eBay Store - train horn: air horn, siege, engineering

What I like most about them, is that their compressors are rated at 100% duty cycle. Most others are rated under 30%. Now that is only talking about the cheaper setups! some of the 200 psi setups (more then I wanted to spend) are also 100% DC but I am cheap

One of the most important parts of the entire system is the delivery valve,....make sure it is a true 1/2" valve.

I have Grover Triple air/train horns, a 115volt air compressor filling 15 gallons worth of tanks...(sound clip is at bottom of this reply)

I wired it directly into the stock horn switch(steering wheel).

Here's my set-up:

Horns mounted in the custom Safari rack I fabricated.

I have the 115volt air compressor, air tanks, and everything else mounted inside this tool box.....the 10,000 watt inverter that powers the air compressor is mounted above the wheel well bump in the bed.

and because I SUPPER SIZED my set-up(not 12volt).....I can also run HEAVY DUTY air tools.

and also,...because I have the monster inverter....I can run ANYTHING 115v out of the back of my truck

BTW......I also hooked my air horns into my alarm system.

here's the vid.

yep, like Tank said, mine came with a 1/2" valve upgrade as part of the kit. Another plus, it is not a gravity type valve that can only mount one way. It can mount sideways, upside down, etc. Really lets A LOT of air thru my horns. I have yet to even get my tank to 200psi. I did like Tank, wired into the steering horn button, used a relay thru an upfitter, so you can switch between the train horns or stock horn. Wired another upfitter to my relay for my compressor. I don't need the compressor all that much, so no need to have it pumping away everyday I am in the truck if not necessary, will hopefully add some life to the compressor.

We didn't do the same thing.....mine is directly to the steering wheel,...no extra switches, ...no other options.

I had it to one of the upfitter switches at on time,....then I thought.....why waste a switch,...I never saw a reason to only blow the stock horn.

haha, I should have known that. I almost did that then was at my son's school and had to give him a quick honk, didn't want to give any teacher's a heart attack out there so decided to wire into the upfitter.

To bad you didn't make it to SSS 08 this year. Eddy was there, he had the black lowered dually on air, he has the T5 horns like Steve Kran but Eddy is pushing 450PSI!!! These make the same horns at 120 PSI sound like a KIA!! You tal about LOUD!!!! I am sure his system is close to a grand if not more, but he fab'd all of it himself. Runn'in 1/2 lines now but says he wants to replace with 3/4!!!
Eddy's the man when it comes to horns!! He's also just a great guy to talk to!!
