Stage 1 Injectors

Ok well if I need new injectors. I have decided I will get Stage 1s. Now besides having my chip reburned what else would I need to do to support the injecotrs.

All my mods are in my signature.

Shouldn't need anything...Your truck already has a 17* HPOP...that's the only problem a person could get into

Like mine, with the 15* pump, if I stay in it hard on more aggressive tunes it'll start cuttin' out.

Your SD has everything to support it...

Only thing I could think would interfere would be if u changed to single shot...I dunno if Tony can make the chip tell the computer it has single shots...

for stage ones, you wouldnt have to do anything besdies the chip, you've got the intake exhaust and gauge. maybe a torque converter, and deeper pan in your futre,

Well

I think you ought to jump on the next budget build. Big oil, injectors, fuel system, bottom end, no2, trans, the works. I think you can do it for about $2000. Its been done right here on this site before.

I think I will stick with injectors for now Jon. My trans is pretty solid. I still have to have it for a DD truck.

I just don't see a reason to go with stock replacement injectors when stage 1s are not that much more.

Now if I did decide to go with single shots what would I need to do. I understand that stage 1 split shots are pretty much a drop in thing. So what about single shots. I know they spray differently.

if you go with split shots you wont have to do any thing. if you go with single shots the truck wont even run with out tuning.

Wrong! The truck will run. It will run like crap up until around 2300-2400rpm and the throttle will be touchy as all get out but it will run. Hell, I ran my setup on a stock PCM for a couple of days to see how it ran. Alabamafrog ran his truck on stock tuning and even towed with it while his chip was out getting reprogrammed so it has been done.

Well I think for simplicity of things I will end up going with stage 1 split shots. That way if something happens like my chip takes a dump or something. I can just go ahead and drive the truck with out having any issues. As this is my daily driver.
