The box might close, but it doesn't seal correctly

how can you say it was the full intake that dusted the turbo, and not the drop in? Two weeks of running a full K&N and you think thats what caused the turbo to die? How long was the dropin in the truck? Read up on this forum, plenty of info about the k&n dropins being trash. The full intake is ok, but still has the stigma from the drop ins..

The K&N filter and its variants are trash, a turbo will suck dust and sand right through them.

You are going to pay a bit for the gears. I am looking to put in 4.56 because I am running 37" and I have found a couple places that will do it for $1200. But putting 4.11 for 35" will help out some. How much is hard to say, but you should get back at least 2 mpg. And 14-16mpg is better the 10-12mpg.

37s and 4.56 is too low IMO. 4.30 would be the lowest I would go unless you plan on going to like a 40" later..
$1200 gears front and rear is a damn good deal...hopefully they have a warranty too

:whs: Since I don't tow that often it isn't worth it.

I don't know what is heating up for you guys.... EGT's or tranny?? If it is the tranny then get a 6.0 cooler and never look back. EGT's are a little more expensive to bring them down...but still can be done..

get rid of the drop in k&N... I would give anyone my old one if they wanted it...as long as they paid for shipping. LOL..
