i would have to agree with Dave and say the drop ins are worse..... i don tlike K&N's for our trucks at all but the drop ins are worse.... they dont seal correctly around the edges allowing unfiltered air to go through....

Have you had experience with either of them?

As already said, your better of with a different brand....But I wouldnt hesitate to put a drop in on my truck, if I had to....My experience is that the full intakes are worse.

Well since you are trolling around here interjecting your wisdom on everyone, just what experience would that be in your couple years worth of driving?

Trolling? Far From it....In fact your reply is more along the lines of trolling....Im simply sharing my experiences with K&N products...Couple years worth? Ive been driving diesels since I was 10, on a farm...And have owned a diesel since the day I turned 16....Which was more then a couple years ago, and since than, I have owned 3 diesels.

putting in the bigger gears in for 35's isn't worth it figure gears and kits are gona be around $600 and if you have someone do it your lookin at around another $300. I agree getting a chip is the best way to go you get your power back and get better milage and save a few hundred bucks.

That's an impressive resume, much like your esteemed work resume.
By the way with all the expertise, skill and knowledge you have one would think your employer might need you at work today.
Oh I know, you got up at 4:30am and did more work before noon than the average person

Mino Don't worry about the K&N I have had an open intake K&N on both my diesels and I used to run around in the sand alot and I put 150,000 on my 95 with one on and I have 120,000 on this truck and never had a turbo problem just get an outerwear for the filter then all you have to do is clean the outerwear and the actual filter prety much stays clean.
