ez way to tell what the ratio is?

I am a total newbie on here, so I apologize for having a few newbie questions...

I just yesterday got a 02 F350 PSD SRW 4x4 crew sb 120K...so far so good-

is there is a way to tell what the rear-end gear ratio is? something stamped, something on the VIN, or would there be a way to check a build sheet?

would there be a way to check the reccomended max trailer towing capacity?

I'm sure there will be more...

thanks

TMTS

Sure, Jack up the rear end. Have your wife spin the tires two complete times and see how many revolutions of the yoke.

example. Wife spins tires and the yoke circles a little over 4 then you'll probably have 4:10s, 3 and 3/4 then probably 3:73s, 3.5 then probably 3:54s and so on.

the L is limited slip, 4.11's and 4.12's aren't far off, so that may be whats in it.
3L73 is 3.73's with a limited slip

Do all these trucks come with limited slip if it's an FX4?

I watched my girlfriend pull the boat out of the water the other day and was spinning one rear tire, not really moving up the ramp at all.

Not sure if they all do or not Steve. Your door tag should tell you if you do or not
