cheap mods

I have a 99 F350 7.3 4x4. Iwas looking to see if i can find a list of mods that dont cost an arm and a leg. Just simple stuff you can do to up grade youre rig I have a full 4in turbo back and a k&n. Saw where you can take off the foil but not sure why. Stuff like that. You can boost the presures but not sure how much I dont want bad milage or black smoke all the time right know my truck smokes none.
THANK YOU

first i would take off that K&N and replace it with something else or put it back to stock if you cant afford to do a DIY intake....

the foil delete does not increase HP... it basically will just let you hear the turbo whistle a lil more...

i would do:
DIY intake
Zoodad Mod
Foil Delete

just look at my mods, there are some very cheap ones there. 10k,AIH mod, if yours it a late 99. The foil delete gives you more turbo whistle. get rid of the k&n filter. get the 6637 air filter, order it on the computer don't get it from napa.and some 4inch pipe. and you can make an intake

I have leftover pipe from 4in and will get the filter how do you go about the pvc can you just put 2 stick in valve cover breathers in their. As for the 10k can you just expose some wire and soder on wire run it to a toggle with the resister in line some where.

Yea definitely lose the K&N, Ive lost 1 turbo to one already....Try out the ZooDad mod, and the 10k mod...The foil delete definitely made the turbo louder on my truck, but some people say it doesnt do anything....You can also try unplugging the wastegate, and than plugging it on the bolt on your intercooler clamp. It basically just makes your turbo build boost faster.

There is no way to just crank up the waste gate? I would love to hear more turbo but it seems that if you take off the foil you are allowing engine heat into intake charge cooler denser is better right? Where do you buy 10K resistors never needed one before now. I was looking at my truck and thought that if you put the batterie where the air is and the air filter in front that would make the most out of ZOODAD any body tried that?

well on the stock intake box the plastic runs all the way up to the back side of the grille. If you cut up the stock air box and do the diy intake and the zoodad, it almost makes a ram-air style effect.

I cant get a pic up in a bit if you want to see what im saying
