new to this site, have a question about HHO (brown gas)

first off, hello to everyone.
and i hope im in the right forum.

i have a 99 f350 crew 7.3 and am wondering or curious about this HHO set up. at the moment i get about 13mpg in town and 17 on the highway, and was told by some friends that they heard that could be increased by 20-30% by using this (what sounds very simple) hho set up.

anyone here have any advice, experience at all? i just heard about this hho about 2 hrs ago so im a total hho idiot.

any advice would be very welcome.

thanks again.

hho, google it, much better fuel increase than chipping. also called brown gas.

in some cases some diesels (duramax) at 50mph is getting close to 50mpg although extreme, youll see an increase of at least 20%.

local guy has a 7.3 in a 1 ton fleet side and is getting just under 30mpg.

google it, check it out for yourself.

ok heres what i know. from a neighbor that showed me his system on a 1 ton 7.3 fleet side.
he put his in two months ago. it consists of two mason jars, some hosing (vacuum) and wires from the bat. inside the one jar is distiled water and baking soda, which when juice is applied turns into Hydrogen and oxygen. its injected into the engine to add extra CHEAP fuel. its cleaner, adds more power and a lot of mpg. he claims to get between 28-32mpg AROUND FRICKEN TOWN. only downside is he fills it up every other day, and hes not sure how to keep it from freezing in the winter.

ive been googling it for an hour. lots of info on it, its even been on several news station. hell one town runs its entire police and fire department on the stuff.
one guy who starting promo'ing it has a duramax that gets 50mpg if he keeps it under 50mph.

you tell me, i have no idea, but the kit (if you do it yourself is only like 40 bucks)

I want to see more testing before I try it and blow something up. It sounds like a lot of propaganda but I like the idea.

I will do a little more research myself, I am intrigued.

Didnt mythbusters test one of these kits on the mpg special?

They found the kit could not produce a high enough volume hydrogen to make a measurable difference.

I know a few months ago some company cane thru my area with a similar system claiming big fuel mileage increases. A Sububan wit an 8 liter getting 36 mpg and such. They were looking for "dealers and installers in the area" A mechanic friend of mine went and checked out their "demo" He said it looked lagite and they ad there act together, but to become a "dealer you had to prepurchase like 5 systems first. He said only one guy at the demo bought the five systems and last he knew 4 months later he hadnt got the kits yet.
