Stock tranny cooler rating?

Does anyone know what the stock transmission cooler for the 03 7.3 is rated for in units of thousand pounds?

I'm getting my transmission rebuilt right now and the guy doing it said he could install a 27,000lb cooler for $150. I'm just wondering if that will be enough, OR if I should ask him to go with something bigger.

Thanks

mmmm... I know the trans cooler I installed ( for a 6.0 stroke ) dropped my temp 20*. I still had the stock cooler and an aftermarket one. Their gone now.

Is that in addition to the stock cooler? I've read (can't find it) that the stock cooler is rated to 28K. Hopefully, they're adding a second cooler.

I would leave the stock one and use the 150 to get a 6.0 cooler. They are HUGE!

I agree. That is what I plan to do. Read where it will bolt right in. I'm pretty sure is some info about it here on the org.
