Have U ever though about switching to ELC? No worries after that. Alot of talk of our powerstrokes cooling system and ELC don't mix. There's a Myth about the seals and the ELC don't see eye to eye. HoG WasH!!

After dealing with that problem for a few yrs. I just got fed up and changed to Red ELC. Don't have to add anything anymore.

If I had an answer for ya, I would share the info. Just one less worry for me.

Took time to share this with ya.. I take my coolant very serious. Mr. Gooch Helped me out here, within another board.

Extended Life Coolant. There a 4 or 5 brands. Walmart stocks Peak Final Charge which is a very good coolant. Try your nearest Diesel Truck Shop. Large Truck Stops. Don't bother with worthless AZ or O'Reillys.=Worthless. Do a search via google on ELC coolants.

I researched the ELC coolant for awhile, and after talking with Mr. Gooch: It was a no brainer. Plus After the addition of a Coolant Filter, I basically tripled the life of my water pump. I just change the filter once a yr. Usually the 1st of Jan. Money Very Well Spent.

Sounds like Mr. Gooch knows his stuff, fairly diplomatic considering the previous posts as well.
Thanks SyN.

Mr. Gooch is the most honest and respected person that I have met on any of these diesel boards. He has taken the time out of his day, many many times to help me solve a problem with my 7.3L and saved me hundreds of dollars.
