might get me one of dem fat bottomed gals!!!!

as some of yall know we got alot of rain down here last week because of hurricane dolly with the rain came flooding and with the floodin came dumbasses stalling there cars and trucks

well one of the dumbasses was a friend of mine with a 7.3 cc dually 4x4 i dont remember what year it is but i do know its a 99 or newer and its a real nice truck its in the local dealer to be fixed and now his dad is gonna sell it because he told him if he screwed up bad one time the truck was gone i told my dad about it since he paid for my truck and he said that if it aint to expensive we migth trade my truck in for it im not real sure how bad he messed it up when it sucked in water but should everything be fine after ford goes thru and drains the water and fixes anything that might be bent/broken? i dont know much about diesels that suck in water but i know that after you drain it out of the cylinders on a gas you are usally ok as long as nothing is broken/bent.

sorry for the essay but i realy want the truck unless yall think the motor might have some trouble

If any vehicle has had water damage I would just walk away from it. Unless it was only the engine that sucked water but only if the engine got replaced.

Water in a gas engine is way easier to deal with than in a diesel for two reasons.
removeable spark plugs (10 minute job) and less of a compression ratio. I have personally recovered 4 non-diesel boat motors.

yea i know its easier to deal with in a gas but like i said its at the dealership being fixxed right now do yall think that the dealer will actualy go through it and do it right? or is it gonna need to come apart again in the future? just looking for some opinions before we get real serious about buying it right now we are just talking about it a little but its not real serious but i need to find something else pretty quick because my truck aint gonna pull our 35ft gooseneck very well so im looking for a newer truck

I would say there are two really important things to consider. First is that there are some major deals going on sales of new and used trucks. Second, there is the possibility that the stigma of it having been under water will always be attached to the truck ,should you go to sell it down the road.I dont know them...but I suspect there are federal laws dealing with that issue, but then again maybe I have been watching too many carfax commercials.

around here alota people are looking for diesel trucks because you can get diesel cheaper than gas so its a little harder to find a good one than in other parts of the country
