hard start,rough idle,no power

My son has a 2002 f350 7.3 powerstroke. While he was driving it, it just lost engine power to nothing...... We changed the fuel filter and camshaft sensor. and the same results......
1. Hard to start
2.Engine check light on
3. blinking on and off on OD handle.
4.put it in gear and floor the pedal, it go's about 5mph..
5. Acts as if it is not getting anyfuel.
6. I also disconnected the MAP sensor, and it had no effect.

I would appreciate any imput, Thank you.

Welcome, you came to the right place.

Sounds like it's in "limp" mode. It may not be as bad as it appears. I'm sure someone here will be able to help.
