What's it worth? '01 2WD Excursion XLT w/203k Miles.

Hey everybody. I bought an '01 Excursion 2WD back in may, but things have changed and the vehicle no longer really makes sense. I bought it with 199k on it, and then had a couple issues, which were resolved with:
*New UCVH, gaskets
*New IDM from Swamps Diesel
*New accelerator pedal

At the same time, all the fluids (trans, diff, radiator, engine) were changed, as was the fuel filter. Air filter looks good. It has been problem free since then, for the past ~3k miles. HVAC all works great, cruise control works, etc.

I have not replaced the turbo yet, but have a spare one in good condition, ready to bolt on.

I have also added a DP Tuner module, with both 80HP towing and economy tunes, 1200rpm fast warmup, and stock mode.

Also installed was a new Pioneer AVIC-X950BH in dash dvd player, gps module with rear view camera ($1800).

The trans has a hard 1-2 upshift (improved with the tuner), and a hard but still noticeable 3-4 shift as well. 2-3 is good. I usually predict the shift points and it's been fine for me. There is also a very slow leak in the power steering hose.

It has just over 203,000 miles on it, and looks pretty much the same as it does in my original post here. There is a little bit of wear on the front arm rests, and on the left side of the driver's seat, but no rips or stains.

Newbie from CA - Just bought '01 Ex.

With all that in mind, what could i expect to get for it if i sold it in it's current state?

Thanks for any input!

Depends on the area. If it doesn't have any rust on it, then I wouldn't be surprised if you could fetch 12-15k or maybe more. Although the 2wd might kill it a little bit, it is less appealing to some people.

Ill sell it anywhere somebody wants to buy it.

12-15k, even with the hard trans shifting?

It also has about 4500 miles on new tires.

With that in mind, I'd definitely put the stock radio back in.

Yeah, it's an expensive system but sadly people just don't pay attention to that when buying a vehicle so i'd just sell it stock or put a $60 head unit in it.

Fair enough. I thought it would be a selling point, but not worth it if that means losing a bunch of money.

Can i ask where you got your $7k figure from?

That's what I would pay for it if I was looking for a 7.3 excursion. Figuring in the high miles and tranny problems. With zero problems I think you could sell it to the right person for about 10. Also that it's a 2WD, which really kills the price of any truck/suv

Fair enough. I've been toying with the idea of swapping the transmission out...but it seems like a lost cause to spend 3-4k to only get a couple extra grand in the sale.

Thanks for taking the time to post.
