$8500 for a 2000 CCLB 4x4 ZF6 with 110K miles and hail damage

Co-worker has offered me his 2000 CCLB 4x4 ZF6 for $8500. It has hail damage to the hood and drivers front fender (and top of cab which I don't care about). I mostly use my E99 ECLB to pull the camper with but when we go on vacation my wife drives the truck around town a lot but she cant drive a manual trans. I know it is a good deal and if push come to shove, I could always sell it and make money but I'm thinking a CCSB with an auto would be better. We were thinking of moving up to a 5th wheel camper soon and was wondering about the ease of use with a slider hitch. What should I do?,

I might just wait. I know the 7.3 with 100K miles is getting hard to find though.

If it's a long bed you don't need a slider hitch if it is mounted properly. I can make U-turns with mine with the trailer at 90* to the cab no problem

Yeah...I was talking about with a short bed. I was wondering if a short bed with a slider is just as easy to use as a long bed. I can see me not sliding it back on a tight turn and kissing the cab. I was wondering about the auto sliders, if they are really that easy to use. Hook it up and go.

Well it looks like I am going to get it Saturday for $7500 if all goes well. I will post pics when I get it. 2000 Crew Cab 4x4 with a 6 speed manual trans with only 110,000 miles. Around here that is a heck of a deal. The truck has never been out of Georgia. Found a white hood at a local junk yard for $225. Still got to locate a front drivers fender. I'm STOKED!!!

Yeah but it's black.. I THINK the truck that the OP is buying is white this why he is willing to pay more for a white good so he doesn't have to repaint it.

I might be wrong but that is what I would be doing.

Thanks for the tip on the hood but between paint and fuel to get it (I'm on the Alabama side) I think I would be backing up. I have wanted a crew cab for a while I hope this works out. Just talked to the owner and we are going to meet at his credit union Sat morning. Hopefully I drive away with a new to me F350 with the title.

Depending on how bad the fender is, there are lots of "Paintless dent repair" companies that can knock those out - Dent Wizard is a big one but they cherrie pick. Better off with an independent.
