4r100 trans "freewheels"

Have an 03 f-350 with a 7.3 and an automatic. Had a new ford trans put in about 3000 miles ago. I installed a Banks trans command unit to try and help the failing trans and left it hooked up on the new trans. When hauling( 20ft gooseneck with 5 horses, @ 12,000lbs) it dawned on me, with od off the tach drops to idle, no compression holding back, tried it in all other gears, same result. Need some advice, is this typical with an "upgraded" 4r100 or do I have a problem? It does the same thing with the Banks unit bypassed.

get rid of that Banks crap, and either do a torque converter lockup switch or the TS Performance converter lockup. If you got a Ford transmission you got the same thing you always had. Doing a Trans-go Tugger HD2 valve body kit will do wonders for the longevity of your trans.

I had a ford reman go out in 2000 miles so it is not unheard of. Take it back to the dealer and make them ride with you so you can reproduce the problem for them.
