New to PSDs, how does this one look?

Hey guys, I'm new to the site and new to PSDs as well. I've got a Chevy 1500 now which I'm trying to sell in favor of a 3/4 ton diesel, and for now the PSD is winning over the others. I prefer the power that the newer Cummins has, but I like the 4-door cab on the Ford. So here's what I've found:

A 2002 F-250, crew cab short bed, in really great condition. 80k miles, everything stock, 4x4, has been owned by a 60 year old tea importer. The interior looks new and the outside is almost as good with one little 1" square 'scuff' near the 4x4 sticker on the right side. It will need new tires. I test drove it and it drove great. Here's a couple of pictures:

He's asking $18,500. I think that's about a grand high, what do you guys thing? Also, how about the truck itself, is it a good choice?

Yeah....thats way too high....you can do more research and find way better deals on those style trucks....just takes a little time

offer him 75 cash and go from there

but seriously offer him i would offer him 14,500 whats the worst he can do say f*** NO!!!!

I would be looking to pay somewhere around 15, for a truck like that...I got mine for 16,500 and mine only had 35K miles on it...But its a regular cab.

u say its 2 high but looking at the guy who owned it before i bet he has service records and everything i thinks its worth a grand 2 have the piece of mind u are buying a 100% soild truck not one ur are unsure aobut or a kid owned

i would offer him 16500 to 17000. good lookin truck though.

im not saying bringing him down is a bad idea just dont pass it up over 500-1000 bucks 2 settle for a piece jsut 2 save a few if it is truley a nice truck in great mechanical order
