Big trouble please help.

my buddy just called and said he put a ts 6 pos in a guys 01 7.3 liter, they took it out ran it in every pos and it ran fine. My buddy said he got home about an hour later the guy called him up and said the truck wont start and the service engine light is on. Any ideas.

Chip came loose from the connection? That'd be the first thing I'd check. I've heard of people bumping them or rattling loose.

thats what it was, but the chip wont stay in tight. Now he says it wont start on all six setting, it will only start on 3 of the six.

could be a bad chip I had one drove for a while then went to start check engine light and no start ts didnt know it was bad till they tried to reprogram it and they couldnt gave me a new chip no more problems

it could be a bad chip, i had one, but the chip does need to be taped in to hold it securely

agree with all the above. tape it, secure it somehow and see what it does. may need to be re programmed.
