cps recall

I just bought a 01 7.3 from a dealer and i have heard about this recall,are used trucks covered and does anybody have a copy of the recall

My truck was used. Go to Ford.com and there is a section for recalls, Just put in your VIN and it will tell you.

As for the CPS recall, I had it done last December and have had no problems, not that I did before. I have heard of people with several different issues since the switch to the new more "Robust" sensor.

Even if you do the recall, I would keep a spare in the glove box along with a 10mm socket and 1/4" drive. That way your not stuck anywhere.

Yes, used trucks are covered. All I did was take my truck to the dealer and told them I wanted the CPS recall done. In and out in under an hour.

I was having intermittent shut-off while driving - Not a problem since. And as suggested, I do have a spare...just in case.
