a couple questions

ok guys I am parting out a blown 2000 7.3, I took the idm off and the computer out and am going to sell them. Questions are my e99 has the xle4 computer so I would probably want to sell it and keep the 2000 model computer? Also I am not sure what idm is in my e99 but the 2000 is a idm-120. Should I change them as well or just leave the idm alone? Thanks for the advice in advance

PCM swap would be fine, wont gain you any HP persay, but the 2000 NVK code will be easier to tune with more options.

The IDM is the same, the only thing you will gain is if its newer, IE lower miles.

If your sure you have a E99, and the truck your parting out is good/low mileage, I would swap the injectors out. Yours has AB's which are 120ccx1000. The AD's are 140ccx1000.

You could also swap the 15* hpop out of yours for the 17* HPOP...

Between injectors and HPOP you could pick up 10-20hp with a chip.

Thanks for the advice. the #6 injector is no good and motor is knocking in parts truck. I havent thought about the hpop. Parts truck is at 248000 and my truck is at 225000 so nottoo much different in mileage. Not sure what to do injector wise. May pull the good ones and try and sell or save them for the time when mine go out. I have pulled the turbo to update mine with. Next is pulling axles out and tranny and transfer case.

I would NOT waste time swapping turbo crap over. You will gain NOTHING.
