PCM swap would be fine, wont gain you any HP persay, but the 2000 NVK code will be easier to tune with more options.
The IDM is the same, the only thing you will gain is if its newer, IE lower miles.
If your sure you have a E99, and the truck your parting out is good/low mileage, I would swap the injectors out. Yours has AB's which are 120ccx1000. The AD's are 140ccx1000.
You could also swap the 15* hpop out of yours for the 17* HPOP...
Between injectors and HPOP you could pick up 10-20hp with a chip.
