bad icp sensor?

well i think my icp sensor took a crap finally i priced one out at the local ford dealer it was 144 dollars and thats with a slight discount i want to make sure its the icp sensor that makes my truck run like crap before i drop that kind of money. first off i didnt have any problem with until i installed a 10k a while back the truck ran fine with it in but when i took it out thats when the problems started. the truck idles iradiclley and some times when im drive down the road the truck will stall out but when you go to start it it cranks right back up like nothin is wrong. i have no check engine lights the only time it comes on is if i really get on it i have a boost regulator that is properly adjusted so its not from over boosting. so i just unplugged the sensor for now to get by now i have a constant check engine light and my truck lacks some seriuos power can anybody help me i dont want to waste money if i dont have to thanks

when the 10k mod was installed the wires probabally opend the terminal end up causing a partially open circuit.

i was kind of thinking that because the plug did feel kind of loose but i was also thinking that if the plug was loose and not making contact wouldnt it run the same as if it was unplugged just asking i dont know im willing to try anything to save a 144 bucks

try to bend terminals back in place with a pick or something similar. be careful they are delicate but will bend

i just messed with it a little and plugged the sensor back in the check engine light is gone im gunna take it for a test drive and see what happens. before when i plugged it back in would run fine for about 5-10 minutes then stall out thanks for the help i tell you what happens

Why dont you just put the 10k mod back in ?

drove the truck all day today it seems to run fine now i just messed with the plug a little and tightened it upi didnt really care for the 10k idles like crap
