I think so, you will be able to tell with the power, but you can always go with 16

Personally I havetrued Diesel Kleen and had poor results - as far as milage increase - so i don't recommend it. There has got to be better products out there and I am trying a few but don't yet know how well they work.

I use it about every 10,000 miles to clean my injectors. Helps get rid of smoke.

Diesel Kleen

I tried Stanadyne Performance Formula and seemed to get about a 1 mpg increase in fuel economy. Stanadyne claims an improvement of 6 cetane numbers. I'm currently using up a bottle of Diesel Kleen that I bought at Wal Mart, because Stanadyne is hard to find, here. I'm using 10 oz. per 16 gal. of diesel. That's what the label states as needed for a 4 cetane number improvement. My fuel economy has dropped about 2 mpg from what I got with Stanadyne. As soon as I use up the Diesel Kleen, I'll use Stanadyne only unless it is absolutely not available!

nsrchofpwr,

Check the Stanadyne, it's OEM approved and they have a lubricity only formula as well as a cetane, lubricity, anti gel formula too. Best value going, we stock it all and can ship it to anywhere the ground UPS truck goes!

diesel kleen ???

Luckydog hit it on the head I think. I have been using Stanadyne since I had my fuel system redone in my 86 and you talk about improvements in hauling. That truck has 348,000 original miles and is still going strong and hauling strong. Nothing against Diesel Kleen but there are 2 different cetane boosters available by stanadyne for Diesel engines...Junior-for going around town but not hauling and then there is the other (forgot at the moment) but it is designed specifically for hauling or long distance travel. Check it out. It can be shipped from Diesel injector service out of San Bernardino, CA. I live in AR and they send it straight to me.
