CEL But no Code's

Every now and then my truck cel,water in fuel light, and a few other lights come on and i lose power but motor still runs. i have no response from gas pedal. then lights go off and everything is fine. No codes come up when scanned. What do you think it may be? I know on my old 99.5 i had to have my gas pedal replaced because it went bad but i dont remember it throwing lights when it would go in and out of working. Any help would be great. thanks

i have similar problems a few months ago, except i have codes. ended up being my IDM was going out.

What are you using to pull codes with. I ask because not every scan tool is capable of pulling codes. You may have to have a shop scan your truck for dtc's. As there computer to do this with is capable of pulling all the codes.

a new one will run around $1100 and it is a Ford only part, don't go to IH to get one. better make sure that is what is wrong b4 replacing.
