Truck Opinion

Hey guys,

I'm new to, and recently got interested in entering the Powerstroke scene. I've looked long and hard for the right truck, and they are just so hard to come by!!

I finally found one:
1999 F-250 7.3L
Extended Cab Short Bed
4X4 California Truck
175500 miles
Price: $11k

So the reason I'm gravitated towards this truck is the fact that it spend it's life in CA before coming to MI in early 2013. So I'm pretty sure, with emissions and whatnot, that it wasn't beat on and there is no rust.

So, is $11k a good price? They KBB and NADA around $10,500 so that's realistically my starting point.

Thanks in advance guys!!

If it helps any I gave $9500 for mine over two years ago. It's a 2000, 7.3, SCSB, 4x4, 6 speed. Absolutely no rust Texas truck with a verified dealer history of maintenance for the 174,000 miles that were on it at the time. This was after a three year search for what I wanted. I'd try and chew them down quite a bit before jumping on it.

Kbb and Nada pretty much mean nothing anymore for the 7.3. The price on these trucks are going up fast. Due to the dealers figuring out that they are so reliable and no EPA crap. Low mileage under 100k are going for 18-22k now obviously depending on model. I.E. a crew cab short bed lariat no rust under 100k miles will bring $20k all day at the auctions.
