So I'm new and still learning all about the 7.3 and the tricks to em.
My build list so far is..
4" turbo down pipe and 5" from there with a high flow muffler.
L99 "hybrid" turbo (don't know much about it)
UMP air intake (but going to sell it for the 6637 kit)
And I did the AIH delete.
And a built tranny.
Other then that she's stock.
I wanted a programmer but everyone tells me it will fri my tranny...can I get a custom program to where it won't even mess with the tranny?
If not I was looking at the CTS insight for my gauges and what not and put the TS 6pos chip in, will they work hand in hand?
The other is I want more boost (more then 20psi)
And is the riffraff boost fooler and unplugging the waist gate the best way to do that?
And I'm going to do the 6.0 tranny cooler install but a buddy of mine was telling me the 6.0 IC is bigger then the 7.3's and flows better and bolts in the stock mounting location. This true and has anyone done it?
This is my DD and tow rig so I still want it to get fairly good MPG (in the 17 range) but when my speed demon wants out I want it to scream... I know those two things it's normally one or the other...
I been searching around and it's ether build for MPG or build for power.
