Hey Turbotime I think that your superchip is fine. Why would you want to change to the edge when they both give about the same amount of power? I'd say just keep the superchip, unless you want something that's adjustable in-cab like I ended up switching to. Might as well put your money towards other mods to compliment it! But it's all personal preference!

I'm gonna have to look for where the temp sensor was installed, It was there when i bought the truck. I think the only difference from the Edge and super chips programer is the edge can give you 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. and you don't have to look up engines codes in a book.

Looking up a code in the superchips book takes less than a half a minute, so it's not that much easier than the edge displaying it for you. And if someone already has a superchip but wants to change to edge just for that and the 0-60 + 1/4 mile display......have at it. BUT...you could just keep your superchip or whatever and buy a G-Tech for half the price of buyin a new chip. It also displays 0-60's and 1/4's as well as 1/8's, g-forces, 60 foot, 300 foot, etc..... Just trying to help ya'll save some $$ that's not necessary to spend ya know?

I just the edge evolution about 2 weeks ago, for the most part I am happy with it. It is a piece of cake to to connect and modify the factory mapping, it just takes about 5 minutes to do it. I have tried all three settings and like the extreme setting the best(lots of smoke), however I got 450mpt, normally I got 550mpt.

If I was to do it again I think I would go for a power module that was harder to install, but could be adjusted on the fly. It would be nice to switch from mild to wild in a flip of a switch.

Welcome to the forum Red99!! Well sounds like you're pretty well satisfied with your edge. The on the fly adjustability is nice to have though, which is why I dumped my superchip for a TS 6 position chip. It goes from stock up to 140hp extreme and dumps a lot of smoke doin it!

I noticed quite a bit of seat of the pants difference between the Superchips and Edge on their highest settings.

I think the edge is a little less conservative than the superchips. Superchips seems to have theirs tuned for a super safe chip, but it's still a great chip either way.
