Most efficient RPM - is there one?

Just wondering if there is a "most efficient" RPM. My engine really quiets down at 1,600 RPM and I noticed that my mileage bumps up slightly if I keep it at 1,600 RPM - coincidence?

Best mileage in my truck is 1850-1950rpm.

Watch your EGT's... 600 and low boost... 3-6 psi... Mine is happiest at about 1800...

Whwn I want good milage, it's <700* on the pyro, <6lbs. of boost, and <2000 rpms, and don't lug it.
