No one is talking down to you at all. If you wanna do the top end change go for it. As to the trans flush metallirita (sp) lead you in the right direction.

WoW...I had changed my oil, filter. remote tranny filter today and for some reason I got on the "FDF" and caught this deal, watched the video's and went out and removed the oil added new oil removed, etc...That oil was darker than the oil I drained out of the bottom end. Doing it 3 times I got about 1 and 3/4 quarts out and I will check it out again in a week. This guy is sure smarter than the above average bear ! When I drain my oil I let it drip for an hour and thought I was removing 98% of the old oil, not..

This is such a GREAT site..
Not to make anyone feel cold, but it was a perfect day to work on da truck, 85f and total sunshine !

The way I see it is. Injectors are pricey. If you guys think 1 hour of your time and 3 quarts of oil is worth more then a set of injectors, then don't do it. Bad mouthing does nothing, and helps nobody, the guy is trying to help people, and there is some truth to what he is doing. My understanding of the HPOP oil system, is that its fed from the Low pressure pump, but it doesn't drain back, the only way out is out of the discharge hole on the injectors, this is why it takes so long to start a PS after new injector swap, all the air has to get out VIA the injector discharge tube. Who here has seen one running with the Vavle Covers off, very little oil comes out of the discharge hole. So it does take a long time for all the HPOP oil to be circulated out of the HPOP system back to the pan. I for one will change out the HPOP oil every time I do a regular oil change. I don't really like parting with my hard earned cash!!!

Here are the FACTS....

Engine oil is fed from the oil pan up to the upper
reservoir by the low pressure oil pump. This reservoir is VENTED and the
feed for the HPOP is at the bottom. The design is this way so that air can
and will escape. Unless the oil is old and gets areated then there is no way
air can be introduced to the system.

So if some of you are just too lazy to do it, dont try to sway other people away with false claims of air in the system, no power, no starts, etc. Any air that is in there will be negligible ..FACT
