Milage

I have a 96 Super cab 350 dually 5 speed. I getright at 15.7 on almost every tank. Im looking at a 99 late 99. Crew cab dually with a 7.3 with an automatic. Im wondering how much milage differance there will be in the 2 trucks. The 99 is a 4X4 and the 96 is a 2X4.

Hard to say buddy, these trucks are all different. Especially considering how it's been modded and taken care of. Some do nothing but complain, some do nothing but brag. It's so hard to say, but if I HAD to guess, i'd say you'd be around the 13-16 range??

Well I went out and took me another test drive. Both trucks have 4:10 gears. My 96 has a manual tranny. The 99 has an automatic tranny. My truck is a Super cab . The 99 is a Crew Cab. Both are long beds. My truck is a 2X4 dually. The 99 is a 4X4 dually. Today I watched as I drove the 99. It runs 2000 rpms at 60. My truck now and always has run 2250 at 60 MPH. Taking all this into consideration. The 99 " should " get the same or a hair better.

Both trucks have NO mods.

Dont you think?
