6.0 tranny cooler upgrade pissin me off

got everything done and in place, went to lowes in the plumbing section and bought 3/8-1/2" barbed fitting. couldn't find any 1/2" rubber transmission line at the parts stores, so I purchased 1/2" hydraulic line. the fittings from lowes that are supposed to be 3/8 and 1/2" well needless to say, the fittings are not a true 1/2" or 3/8" slightly smaller don't fit snug into the hoses. this is pissin me off!! sounds like I may have to go to lowes and buy a bunch of couplers and screw them together to get my 3/8 to 1/2" anybody have any suggestions?

I ended up using a steel 3/8-1/2" coupler with brass barb fittings on each end till I find the correct 3/8-1/2" steel barb fittings. test drove tonite, unbeliavible how much difference there is between the ingoing/ outgoing line temps. I'm happy with upgrade

I never had a temp gauge when I had the old small arsh stock cooler, but my temp has never seen more than 152* and that was pulling my Keystone Laredo which is a 8,000lb+ camper.

that's great to know! I'll be hauling 10-18,000 a few times a month. great piece of mind. I changed transfer case fluid while I did the tranny ( trans has a drain plug) fluid was all sorts of nasty!!
