Foil delete raising EGT's?

Title says it all. Iv heard that doing the foil delete will raise temps. Kind of hard to believe with how much air flows through the engine bay during driving. Iv heard it will on another thread but that's as far as it went and I haven't found anything else about it. Anyone know about this?

the foil is just their for noise purposes

it cuts down on some of the turbo whine/whistle so you dont hear it in the cab.

doesnt affect egts.

Yup. The insulation is on the hot side anyway. It is not a heat insulation but a noise one. E99 trucks did not come with it and customer complaints had Ford add the insulated ones on the L99 up trucks.

After about 7 hours... Bet you would change your tune...

Next time I am pulling a load at about 10-15 psi I'll make a video for you. Gets old.
