Coolant Test Strips

I bought a set of coolant test strips from NAPA yesterday, and didn't realize that the expiration date on the bottle (1/2008) had passed until I got home. I took a couple of samples and everything looked good.

What are the chances the expired test strips are giving me false results?

Also, are the 'yellow' and 'gold' coolants people refer to the same thing? If so, any reccomendations on which brand to buy?

I bought the truck used last April with 95K on it, and I believe the dealer told me he flushed and replaced the coolant. I've got about 145K on it now, and if the expired test strips can be trusted, everything is good. Regardless, I'll probably flush it before too long just to be safe.

Thanks in advance for any input.
