oil pan

Isn't there a TSB on our drain pans?
Mine's not looking so hot under there. Just curious what any of you have used for a coating on yours?

Here's what you're looking for

05-20-3 Oil Pan Corrosion - 7.3l Or 6.0l - The Diesel Garage Forums

I on the other hand will be using this stuff and doing the pan on the next oil change.

Stop Rust - Outperforms POR-15 - Gas Tank Sealer - KBS Coatings - RustSeal in Colors

There sampler kit will be all you need to do the pan, for 17bucks

KBS System Sampler - Stop Rust - KBS Coatings - RustSeal

Honestly I can say for sure cause I haven't used the POR15 but I've heard it can flake and you absolutly have to get to bear metal for it to work right when you prep the pan.

I've gonna give the KBS a try, I saw a wright up on PSN for someone who did it and it was not only a paint barrier but it was a solid thick hardened coating when it was all done. I've just heard this stuff works better than POR 15, but again I'm not the expert because I haven't used either.
